Wade AmosA licensed professional engineer with degrees in chemical and environmental engineering. As the procees manager of the liquor evaporation and pulp mill solids handling systems, his responsibilities included managing a $4 million annual budget and leading numerous process control and system enhancement projects for the Environmental Services Department (ESD) at Procter and Gamble (P&G). While working at the US Department of Energy, Wad provided technical knowledge and guidance for numerous cofire projects using switchgrass, bagasse and wood residues.
Dorne WhiteDorne retired from P&G (28 years) as Process Supervisor for a 200,000 lb/hr vapor recompression evaporator unit. Other responsibilities included Hazardous Systems Owner for the caustic boil clean and nitric acid wash systems, Evaporator Process manager, on-shift team leader and integral member of the Utility/Pulp Mill Outage Planning Team. He received advanced training in water treatment, waste water treatment and sludge/solids processing.
Larry Boyarksy29 years at P&G. Larry was the Process Supervisor of the pulp mill "Fines" system, which processsed waste fiber into hog fuel pellets using sequential steps of flotation, centrifugation, pressing, drying and pelletization. He was an experienced ESD Outage Planner, as well as a member of the Utility/Pulp Mill Outage Planning Team and Project Leader for installation of the fines system. Larry received advanced training in water treatment, waste water treatment, evaporation and sludge/solids processing. Prior to joining ESD, Larry worked in the wood yard.
Dave OberbeckWith over 28 years at P&G, Dave's experience and knowledge included Maintenance Planner for both the evaporator and fines processing areas. Project Leader for the evaporator boil-clean and nitric aid wash systems as well as Evaporator Process Manager. Dave's responsibilities included coordinating contractors during scheduled/emergency shutdowns and was a member of the ESD and Utility/Pulp Mill Outage Planning Teams. Besides having advanced training in water treatment, waste water treatment, liquor evaporation and solids processing, he was a mechanic in all these areas.
Carl SingerCarl, a technician with 19 years of experience at P&G, has advanced training in the evaporator and fines processing areas. He was directly responsible for operator training and boil-clean safety training as well as coordinating the evaporator shutdowns and caustic boil-cleans. Before moving to ESD, Carl led projects in the tissue/towel converting department.
Eric MeyerEric has a business degree from the University of Colorado and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administrative activities for GHI. He joined GHI after spending four years as a professional cross-country skier, achieving a rank of 16th in the United States.
